Attorney Stephanie A. Bernstein

 

        Attorney Stephanie A. Bernstein earned her B.A. from The University of New Hampshire in May of 1989, where she majored in English. She swam competitively on her college swim team.  She received her J.D. Degree from Western Connecticut College School of Law in May of 1992.  First working with the law firm where she clerked during law school until the birth of her first child.   Attorney Bernstein then took a hiatus from practicing law to raise her family.  

     She is a native to Middletown and currently lives with her 5 of her 7 children in the nearby town of Madison, raising them all as a single mother. When Attorney Bernstein returned to the practice of law, she practiced as a solo practitioner for several years until 2014 when she joined the Balaban Law Firm, where she worked until opening up her own law firm in February of 2019. Her work concentrates on the areas of family law, personal injury (including reproductive rights and related issues), civil litigation, real estate and criminal law.  Attorney Bernstein has a broad depth of knowledge and brings an unassuming personal touch to every case she handles.  Attorney Bernstein is admitted to practice before the Connecticut Bar.

 

Stephanie is also active in her community in the following roles and activities:  

Coach for Madison Recreational Soccer (2000-2017)

Foster Volunteer for Connecticut Humane Society (2006-Present)

Member of a local USTA Tennis Team

Participant in local road races.
